The Rite is rated PG-13 by the MPAA for disturbing thematic material violence frightening images and language including sexual references. On top of that it was a film that revolved around exorcism which is a subject that usually leads to disappointing results.

Hes still a photographer but during playtime hes a movie-geek democratically watching everything but falling into the realm of Horror in a major way. THE RITE is a scary very effective supernatural thriller with genuine triumphant Christian faith. The other worldly voices and the writhing of victims is exaggerated in this film.
